Guide to Safe Scouting

The purpose of the Guide to Safe Scouting is to ensure Scouting activities are conducted in a safe and prudent manner. The policies and guidelines have been established because of the real need to protect members from known hazards that have been identified through 100-plus years of experience. Limitations on certain activities should not be viewed as stumbling blocks; rather, policies and guidelines are best described as stepping-stones toward safe and enjoyable adventures.

All Scouting activities must fully comply with the Guide to Safe Scouting.

Troop Program Features

"Troop Program Features" is produced by BSA National as an aid to units in developing a program outline. The three volumes contain 36 monthly themes along with meeting and activity plans. These plans should be adopted as necessary for a given unit.
